Whether you're holding a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, OnePlus Open, or Google Pixel Fold, the real charm is watching it unfold from a pocket‑friendly phone into a spacious mini‑tablet in a single, satisfying motion. But not allowing different layouts for the cover and internal screens means you have to choose between optimizing one display or the other, or settle for a compromise that “kind of works” on both but truly fits neither.
Smart Launcher, with its last update now available on the Play Store, changes that: you can now tailor the home screen for each display so both feel just right.
What’s new in Smart Launcher for foldables
Independent layouts for every screen
Smart Launcher now lets you fine‑tune each display separately. Configure distinct grids and icon sizes so the cover screen stays thumb‑friendly while the inner screen becomes a spacious workspace. Decide which pages and folders appear on either side, and enjoy an instant switch as you fold or unfold the device.
Of course the new behaviour is optional and you will be able to continue using your current setup on both screens, if you prefer.

A year‑long polish sprint
Over the past 12 months we’ve revisited nearly every screen in Smart Launcher to scale gracefully between different screen sizes and ratios.
Thanks to this effort, today you can enjoy Smart Launcher on small and large screens (including tablets) with no compromises!
